The Brooklyn Snap case provides up to 13 feet of drop protection. Its dynamic design is a modern take on classic materials. This MagSafe compatible case is made with vegan leather, recycled plastics, and D3O Bio a revolutionary plant-based material with no compromise on impact protection. So, you can get serious about strength and sustainability.
Magnets in the case are compatible with the Apple MagSafe charger, so it just “snaps” into place. Brooklyn Snap contains RepelFlex, an antimicrobial coating with properties built in to protect your case coating by inhibiting the growth of oudor-causing bacteria and guarding against degradation from microorganisms. The PC backplate is partly constructed from recycled plastic, containing post-consumer waste or post-industrial material.
D3O® technology
D3O® Bio material was also used in the production of the cover, 52% of this material is created on a plant basis. The protective cover boasts a drop test, which declares that the device is protected against falls from a height of up to 4 meters.
Recycled plastics and premium vegan leather made from recyclable materials were also used in the production of the cover. The Gear4 company thus allows consumers to follow the path of eco-friendly sustainable choice, without reducing demands for protection or style.
D3O is a British company that develops technologies for shock absorption and damping. The technology used in the production of the Brooklyn Snap cover utilizes the properties of an ultra-light elastomer that behaves like a non-Newtonian fluid. This means that at rest this matter is liquid, and upon mechanical impact it solidifies and behaves like a solid object, after a moment of rest it “gives up” again. The impact energy is distributed among the individual molecules, which spend it on solidification.
